Whether it’s your preference or an annoyance, email is the primary mode of communication in the workplace today. Even in offices where coworkers are close enough to hold hands, email still prevails. So even if it is just a necessary evil, be cognizant of your message and how your phrasing may be interpreted. Research shows that emails naturally have a “negative bias” against them, and by being aware of this predisposition and using a few tips below, you can be sure to use email effectively rather than as a time consuming way that cause others to resent you.

It may seem a little odd to talk about my thoughts for 2017 at the beginning of March, but it is actually appropriate for PRIER since our business is seasonal, and we really get going from a sales perspective in March. Not saying January and February are wasted months, quite the contrary…we have been busily preparing for our year by improving processes, training associates and generally preparing to have a great March through October!
