Part of PRIER’s Mission Statement is to have fun at work. To help promote fun, PRIER has a Spirit Committee with one person from each department. This year I am representing the Sales and Marketing department. At the end of December we met and planned our year of fun activities – one per month. Part of our job is to come up with fun things that we can do both during the work day and outside of work to provide a fun break in our busy day and spend time together outside the company doors.

Corporate Health and Wellness

I believe any corporation that attempts to keep their employees happy will be successful! However, I am not talking about monetary compensation, although that is always a bonus; I am talking about a well-rounded health and wellness program that encompasses all aspects of an associate’s life. Thankfully, I have the opportunity to be a part of such company. PRIER is an advocate of this way of thinking in multiple ways by consistently innovating ways to improve not only their bottom line, but the life of their employees in and out of their work environment.

A Home for the Holidays

With the holiday season vastly approaching, many of us take this time to reflect on the things we are truly grateful for; family, friends, a roof over our heads, food and working utilities to name a few. One of the many things I am truly grateful for are programs like United Way, a charitable foundation designed to help those in need of some of the aforementioned essentials. Each year, United Way does a campaign drive for companies to encourage their employees to give back to the community. PRIER is a participant of United Way’s program, and they even match their employee’s contribution 100%! Sweet!

PRIER Applauds the Kansas City Royals

Here at PRIER, we aim to succeed by providing customers with the best plumbing products in the world. We work hard, just like our very own Kansas City Royals did this year. The Royals had an amazing opportunity to play in the World Series, an opportunity that hadn’t come along in 29 years. Unlike October 27, 1985, when they won against the St. Louis Cardinals, they unfortunately did not bring home a win this time. However, they did their very best and that makes them winners in my book.

Our mission statement encourages having fun and enjoying our work, therefore PRIER has formed a Spirit Committee that is made up of associates from each department. Within the Spirit Committee, we strive to have a spirit building event each month.
