Dobree Dén and Do Svidάniya

By Cindy Coats, Controller

For most of my life, my father and I have traveled the world together. As a child, I was an army brat and now that my father is retired, my vacations from PRIER are spent accompanying him on his continued search for new places and new experiences. At the time, growing up the way I did seemed like a burden.  Now I realize how fortunate I was and how those experiences have opened doors for me. They taught me to relate to the new people I meet every single day. I have learned that saying “hello” and “goodbye” to the people in my life is an opportunity and that living in the moment and enjoying each day, as it presents itself, is a treasure.

Inspired by Technology

By Ieshia Mayes, Accounts Payable Specialist

Here at PRIER, we are constantly evolving. In the beginning of 2016, we switched to software that required more an upgrade in our technology (i.e. tablets, scanning equipment, cloud usage, etc.). This was an exciting yet arduous move, but we needed our employees to switch gears; sort of like a bicycle.

A Winning Team

By Scott Jones, Warehouse Manager

Any company can be in business employing several good people and never be successful. A professional baseball team can have a few great athletes and still be unable to have a winning record. To become a winning team you need much more than good or great people, you need the right people. The right people don’t always have to be the best or hardest working members of the team but rather the ones who have the desire to do more or give more than others to reach a higher standard of success.

The People Make The Place

By Mary Mertes, PRIER Intern

When thinking of the most awkward experiences one might have on the job, I’ll bet that going to a sexual harassment seminar with your father isn’t on most people’s lists. I’m lucky enough to have it on mine. For most teenagers, moving away from home is something they look forward to, to get away from their parents. Maybe I’m just different. There’s a plethora of things I could be doing with my spring break, I chose the one that lets me see my dad at lunch every day.
