The question was “Why Switch to PRIER?” This is one simple question that every user will ask before purchasing a product from a company they have never used in the past. The question generated an idea that has stimulated the sales of PRIER hydrants throughout Utah and Idaho tremendously.
The program that Kent Dennis and Tony Sutherland of Touchdown Sales created was designed to answer “Why Switch to PRIER?” in a very simple and direct manner. The men created displays as a direct link between the facts about the products displayed and the intention to relieve a plumber, wholesaler or engineer’s fear of using a new product.
The display itself showcases four of PRIER’s key residential hydrants: P-164 Quarter Turn Wall Hydrant, C-144 Freezeless Wall Hydrant, 400 Mansfield Style Wall Hydrant and the C-108 Hot and Cold Wall Hydrant. In addition, the display holds a replacement stem and slim inlet alongside bullet points for each product and the benefits of the Diamond Series hydrants.
Kent and Tony have created twenty-six of these displays to be placed in their key wholesalers locations in both Utah and Idaho. The displays are specifically placed close to competition or behind the service counter. In addition, the display has assisted the counter staff and inside sales staff of multiple wholesalers to directly answer any questions that customers may have about PRIER’s product line.
Their innovative idea has definitely paid off as their agency sales have shown a significant growth both in April and May of this year. Kent and Tony have developed a magnificent way to showcase PRIER, all while keeping the customer first in mind. What a great program out of one simple question!
