Jim was formerly Senior Project Engineer with MWV/Calmar, where he designed trigger sprayers, lotion dispensers and aerosol actuators. In his combined 21 years of mechanical engineering, he also gained experience in designing plumbing systems during his time with Burns & McDonnell of Kansas City, as well as plastic part design and medical device design.

Jim is a native to the Kansas City area and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Kansas. In his spare time, Jim enjoys woodworking and motorcycling.
