Borrowing the quality, design and function of the C-634, and the single dial temperature control technology of the residential TrueTemp single-handle hot & cold hydrant, the P-754 offers the best of both worlds to provide a better solution for tempered water in a commercial application.
PRIER’s former commercial hot & cold hydrant used the dual key temperature control method, which is common in the industry, however change was long overdue. Users found that the coordination of two keys while operating the flow could be cumbersome, and plumbers asked for an easier installation and maintenance process.
“We like to get out into the field and talk to plumbers to see how an installation happens and where improvements can be made, because time is money and less call backs make a big difference. And it’s not just about the plumber, we need to make sure that the end user can easily operate the hydrant as well,” stated Scott Brady, R&D Manager for PRIER.
PRIER set out to make a few changes to improve the overall experience for everyone involved. Plumbers will still be able to service the hydrant through the front of the valve, and users will have the precision temperature control needed to get the job done well. The P-754 is a shining reflection of the industry’s evolving needs and the product of simple innovation at PRIER.
The P-754 includes the backplate shown below and can be installed with or without the protective hydrant box, which is sold separately.
