This new year brings many changes in my life. The biggest may be saying goodbye to a 50-year career in sales. As I reflect on all my years of work, I am totally thankful. I am thankful for all the great people that have made me the man I am today. I am thankful I got to end my career with a company that is more like a family to me than an employer. I am thankful that I get to walk away with the notion that I will be missed by my colleagues and the wonderful people I have shared my time with over the years.
God has lead me down a winding path. I am glad I trusted him to lead me where He did and where I was meant to be. My career has had many ups and downs along the way but one constant has remained – I love what I do and the people I have worked with.
I want to end with a quote, one that sums up my philosophy and one I had the privilege to experience:“Choose a work that you love and you won’t have to work another day.” – Confucius
