This decision abides by PRIER’s “green statement” in order to optimize energy resources. PRIER has invested heavily in energy conservation of their facilities through a new roof, new ceiling and wall insulation, the addition of energy efficient radiant heating, the installation of light panels, the replacement of inefficient metal halide lighting with new high efficiency lighting, and now through the installation of solar panels. The solar panels installed will offset up to two thirds of PRIER’s electric needs. “These solar panels are a win/win because they produce no greenhouse gas emissions or air pollution while providing a long term energy source for the manufacturing plant,” stated Joe Poskin, CEO for PRIER.
