Ewing M. Kauffman, also known as Mr. K, was a successful entrepreneur known for his appreciation and bigheartedness towards his employees which then formed the criteria for the selection of Small Business of the Year award. The award goes to a company that has shown growth or sustainability of their business with strong employee relations and a record of giving back to the community. PRIER was recognized and showcased along with other extraordinary small businesses within the Kansas City community.
