The APICS certification we are focusing on is the CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) certification. Obtaining the CPIM certification will provide us with the ability to understand and evaluate production and inventory activities within PRIER’s overall operations. As a team, this will streamline our supply chain knowledge so that we can more effectively and efficiently improve each step of the process.
In the end, this increased knowledge will only benefit our customers and suppliers through improved manufacturing processes. Our relationship with our suppliers will strengthen our ability to sustain safety, maximize quality, and improve productivity. This will then greatly benefit engineers, contractors, distributors and homeowners. By obtaining the CPIM certification as a team, we will ensure continuous growth as individuals as well as continuous growth for the company, which is what PRIER always strives for.
There are many ways to improve, and I would strongly encourage anyone to take advantage of as many opportunities as they can to do so. We are excited to learn more about manufacturing and improve upon what we do. By having the right culture, it makes this process fun and exciting, and we know that continuous improvement is simply that…continuous.
